The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. GFWC celebrates the engagement of people of all backgrounds and believes in fostering an inclusive, equitable climate and culture where community members can thrive.
The GFWC Glendale Woman's Club organized in 1901 and federated in the summer of 1902 along with 6 other clubs in Arizona.
"Living the Volunteer Spirit," GFWC clubwomen transform lives each day, not simply with monetary donations, but with hands-on tangible projects that provide immediate impact.
In 2023, we delivered 9,930 books directly to the homes of our city's youngest residents. As of May 2024, more than 2300 children in Glendale receive books monthly, delivered directly to their homes thanks to the generosity of community supporters. Just $26 sponsors one child for an entire year. For more information visit
